Lighting It Up

Over the 4th of July holiday, we had no plans but to shop for new furniture and decor for the house as well as finish up the moving and painting. The weather was surprisingly comfortable in Sacramento this time of year so I'm sure plenty were out enjoying the summer festivities.

We did however managed to stop by my parent's place for some BBQ and Yogi's friend's place for some mingling. The guys got into drinking beer over a popular Texas card game. Course my husband and I along with a few others preferred to remember our last names at the end of the night so stayed clear. Instead, we ate, we laughed at the drunk fools (darn didn't take pictures) then strolled through Old Sac as the sunsets. We waited a short while and the skies began to light up over the river.
