Before You Know It
Before you know it, it is 9:25pm on the last day of a long awaited 3-day weekend and only a sleep away from being back at work. Nonetheless, we hope everyone had a great holiday. You know we always do and especially so when none of it was planned!
Friday night was great. I didn't have any plans. I had thought about calling a friend or two to mingle over coffee, instead decided to finish up a paint job at home while my husband and his friends performed their weekly basketball rituals. With the paint job, there's one color left to do but for nearly the entire house so it's definitely a work in progress.

Afterwards, I took a mile and a half jog around the neighborhood over a breezy early evening. Then, settled in with Dan Brown's next big movie maker Angels and Demons. Turning out to be a page turner, more so than Da Vinci Code; especially when my husband has spared me half the story this time around ;-D
On Saturday, we were invited into the city to celebrate my sister-in-law's graduation of her Master's degree. Dinner was at 7pm so we parked at my other sister-in-law's house in Daly City and took a 30 min Muni to the Asian Arts Museum. My husband has never visited it before so it was a great learning experience for him and a revisit for me to focus on a few exhibits I didn't get to last time.
After a few hours, we fought our way through Union Square's foot traffic and into Chinatown for lunch. Of course, we bumped into a high school friend from Sacramento at the restaurant. Not much of a shocker when we bump into friends in the middle of London thousands of miles away.
Heading back to the muni station, we stopped by our usual Chinese video store for the lastest Chinese Movies on DVD. Yogi bought one of course but at the least, I got him to stay away from animation!
Dinner at Koi Palace was at maximum capacity as usual. For my sister-in-law, she had a very proud table filled with family and friends. A huge congratulations to her for an enormous accomplishment. She has already excepted a teaching postion at SF State so hopefully she and my brother-in-law can still make time for a baby soon ;-D After dinner, some of us had "dessert" at a local club. A very interesting place with many interesting people and one FUN goal in mind. We drank, we danced, we jumped, we screamed and best of all we laughed!
We came back to Sacramento on Sunday and did some more painting before receiving a last minute invitation to a BBQ. We attended for a dinner snack and ended up singing karaoke and playing games.
I slept in till 11:00am this morning. Ya Moms, I know better to abuse it now before the sleep is over for good :-D We went to watch X-Men with some friends; did some grocery shopping for the week; did some reading; updated my blog and that's that. Have a good one!

Ya, X3 wasn't bad at all. But I can't stop thinking of "Jane" being in Nip Tuck. You NT fans know what I'm talking about.
